The owners of this Gray Young Kelburn house wanted a ‘Downton Abbey’ style kitchen with the convenience of modern appliances and easy care surfaces.
The early 20th century house has undergone minor alterations during the last 100 years and maintaining the character and proportions of the interior space was important.
The kitchen joinery is solid pine with a slightly distressed finish to the paint work. Modern features such as soft close hinges and drawer closures and built in bins have been included.
New timber windows and doors match the style of the existing house and are double glazed to meet building code requirements.
